College Wear Tuesdays:  College Wear Tuesdays are back!  Please wear t-shirts, hoodies, and other school appropriate apparel featuring colleges and universities every Tuesday!

Senior Portrait Retakes:  Retakes are this Wednesday, Thursday and Friday!  Please schedule an appointment online at call us at 630-910-6800 option 5.  This is also available for any Senior that didnít take a senior portrait over summer.

ATTENTION NHS MEMBERS..... If you signed up to work the Lombard Recycling Extravaganza SEPT 23-ALL APPLICATIONS MUST BE SIGNED BY YOU (& PARENTS IF UNDER 18) and returned to Ms. Homan by TOMORROW - WED. SEPT. 13!!!

Spanish Club:  Come one, come all to the first Spanish Club meeting of the year in room 104 after school on Tues. Sept. 19th!!  You don't need to know Spanish. Come out and enjoy food and friendship.

Nominate Your Homecoming Court!  Have a say in making your 2017 Homecoming Court.  Visit Schoology and cast your vote this Tuesday through Thursday!

Future Teachers of America:  Are you thinking about becoming a teacher?  Join Future Teachers of America and get connected with real schools, in real classrooms, so you can get real experience!  Our first meeting will happen on Wednesday September 20th in room 312.  See you there!

Let's Get Ready to "Race" into Homecoming Week!  The Raider Run is coming to kickoff Homecoming Week!  Get ready to lace up your running shoes September 17th for our annual Raider 5K Run/Walk.  Check in at 8 am for the start of the race at 9.  Registration is $10 before September 13 or $15 on race day.  We want all of the Glenbard South Community to join us! We have a full 5K distance for those looking for a challenge or a race.  For those wanting a shorter distance, there is a separate 1.5 mile loop! This event will be perfect for the whole family or alumni wanting to give back to their school!  Whether you are an avid runner or looking to walk with friends and family, you won't want to miss this year's event! Come and join the fun, knowing that 100% of the proceeds goes back to our students. This is a wheelchair and stroller friendly course. Come out, get some exercise, and show your Raider pride!
This is a color run, but feel free to run around the color stations if you prefer to stay clean!

AP Café:  The AP Café is open! Bring your lunch and come down to room 63 during periods 4-7 to work on AP classes with your peers and access any support needed. See Ms. Bergmann if you have questions.

Homecoming:  Hey Raiders! September is upon us which means so is Homecoming! This year's "No Place Like Homecoming" dance is September 23rd from 7:00-10:00. Sounds far away but the first Homecoming activity, Hallway Decorating, is quickly approaching on the 15th immediately after school. Stay tuned for more announcements like this about ticket sales, Hallway Decorating, the Raider Run, Games Night, Pep Rallies, and other important information! Tickets go on sale September 18th for $20!  At the door, they will be $25.  Guest passes can be picked up at Student Services or the Guidance Offices.

Writing Center Opening:  Writing Center South is officially OPEN!  Please schedule an appointment or stop by during your lunch period to receive help on ANY writing assignment.

Political Debate & Consensus Club:~ If you enjoy debate and/or fun discussions on politics, come to our meeting in room 301 on Wednesday, September 20 at 2:45 after school! Join us to discuss Immigration - what to do with DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) and work to reach consensus.

College and Career Resource Center:  Glenbard South also maintains a list of colleges, universities and military recruiters whose representatives have scheduled visits at our school. This list will be updated weekly on Wednesdays, so stop back frequently to see who is coming and sign up!

*If a college you are interested in is not currently on the list, please call Anne Lange, and we can reach out to that school to extend an invitation for that representative to visit.
